Comments:" I am almost sure, not this Monday, but the Monday before, I  think I saw this dog of R
Street, NE.  I live on the corner of R and Eckington, NE and he was on the other side of Eckington."   " I
was a little scared, because I didn't see an owner".  "I am so sorry that's all I have for you.
P. S. I'll know what to call him, if a see him again."

Update 1/18/08: Possible sighting of Jack at Haines Point area on 1/16 at 8:50 am.  The
sighting: "Granted I only saw this dog from a distance, but Wednesday (1/16/08) morning on the yellow
line crossing the bridge at approx. 8:50am I saw a dog with similar markings in a grassy area by the
Metro tunnel. We were crossing from Virgina to DC and the dog was on the left hand side of the train."

Per Jack's family: "We drove by this area yesterday afternoon around 5:00 PM. I spoke with two Park
Police and explained what were had heard and that we were looking for our dog. I gave them my
information and phone number in case they were to find any dogs roaming. We searched all around
this area as best we could and considering it was raining and snowing. We called out his name for
several minutes but there was no movement at all. We drove all around Haines Point area with the
window down but did not see anything except for geese. I will be heading out to this area around lunch
time on my bike. There are a few facilities in the vacinity that belong to a construction company, The
Tour Mobile Company, and The Park Police Service. We looked around the perimeter but were not able
to speak with anyone.

This area is approximately 4 miles distance from our home. It could be a possibility that Jack could
have wandered over to this area. I think with the unseasonable temperatures we have been
experiencing, he could easily travel at night. There were fireworks on New Years Eve which could have
forced him away from our surrounding neighborhoods. The only thing is that I am not sure how much
food is available that would keep him interested in hiding out over there. It is very quiet and serene over
there and lots of room to move around without people."
