Ava also known as Venus
Ava/Venus is a 65 pound, 1.5 year old,
spayed Pointer mix. Ava/Venus has a
medium activity level.
Ava would like to thank
Adam R for his very generous
gift/donation for "Ava and her
friends"!
Ava is also known as Venus
Dog friendly, but would love to be the only pet.
Cat Friendly- Unknown, gets along with chickens!
Ava loves people of all ages!
Ava was relinquished to the shelter because her
owner became homeless. This young lady was
dropped at the shelter pregnant and with her six
month old daughter (her daughter was adopted).
Ava is a very smart young lady, eager to please,
and is quickly learning basic obedience
commands (sit, down, up, off, Leave-it, come
here, stay, and kennel-up). Miss Ava is learning
to walk well on the leash, and for all you dog
obedience savvy people, Ava is learning the
"finish" command. Miss Ava, rides well in the
car, is crate trained, house broken, non-
destructive in the house, and learning not to jump
on furniture.
Ava loves meeting new people of all ages, and is
learning to stay calm while greeting.
Ava loves playing with toys, especially squeaky
toys, and is learning how to play fetch.
Besides playing with toys, Avas favorite past time
is eating, and is currently on a very necessary
diet. When Ava's food is empty, she will actually
carry her bowl over to the dog food bag, sit, and
wait patiently until her bowl is filled.
Avas ideal home would include a large fenced
yard, 5’ or taller and a family that loves her.
Ava has a medium high activity level when family
members come home from work, and during
initial greetings, but settles quickly. Ava will
become a couch potato when she matures.
Ava has a wonderfully sweet and sound
disposition, and is settling down as far as activity
level is concerned but is best suited for children
8 and up.
